The Wakanda Forever Challenge proves the superhero he was

Chadwick Boseman gave us his time, talent, and treasure. Now, we can give back before the sequel with a worthy Wakanda Forever Challenge.

Chadwick Bosemans sudden death on August 28, 2020, was a worldwide shock, but now his legacy can be used in a superheroic fashion with a special Wakanda Forever Challenge.

He was a supremely gifted actor who could nail a biopic like a master carpenter–he starred in four of them. Moreover, he did something better than acting–giving back. We knew little about his catharsis then, but Boseman was a real superhero to the countless children he met in the hallways of pediatric hospital cancer wards.

Even when he needed help the most with his own condition, the Black Panther routinely made time for children. Thanks to a spectacular cause, we can now make time for him.

Take the Wakanda Forever Challenge. Please.

A stand-up guy, film critic, and proud nerd, Emmanuel Noisette (follow him) figured several communities would have a viable interest in honoring the man behind the mask, so his idea was both honorable and selfless, kind of like Boseman.

Welcome to the #WakandaForeverChallenge to benefit the warrior children at St. Jude’s.

Noisette writes an introspective and thoughtful overview of why this was an important cause for him to create. Every word was placed with care. This link will take you to a GoFundMe account, where he set a $5,000 goal. Considering this film will reach the $1 billion mark during its theatrical run, five stacks are the least fans can accomplish as an homage to Boseman.

And if you don’t believe in Boseman’s importance to pediatric healthcare, check out this beautiful mural at Children’s Hospital LA from Nikkolas Smith. If that doesn’t move you, check the tires or your emergency brake on the car. This is tissue city. This dude here…

People doing things in his honor and not looking for thanks or attention. That’s impact, peeps.

Chadwick Boseman was private about his life, illness, and philanthropy. No one needed to know his efforts and plight except the kids he blessed with his time and open heart. Now, it’s our turn. We can be public about our adoration for all he did and how his legacy continues today.

Consider T’Challa’s own words as you grab for your wallet (hopefully).

Wakanda will no longer watch from the shadows…We will work to be an example of how we, as brothers and sisters on this earth, should treat each other. Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence…We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe.

What better time than the present to give and serve those in need with one voice as one community? With your gift to help those special children, Wakanda really can be forever!
