In a recent interview with Streamr, via @MoFromStreamr, Mohamed Diab addresses a photo taken on the set of Moon Knight with actors Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, and Oscar Issac. The photo, as shown below, was taken in the Fall of 2021, while Moon Knight was still shooting. However, earlier this year, the photo resurfaced, and questions of context had begun to surface with it.

Willem Dafoe In Moon Knight?

Soon after, fans began to speculate what the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Willem Dafoe was doing on the Moon Knight set. There were plenty of rumors that Willem would somehow be making an appearance in the Disney+ series. However, Mohamed Diab was here to set the record straight. In the interview, Diab confirmed that Willem was shooting for another film, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, in the same area as Moon Knight. The photo was in no way in correspondence to Willem Dafoe’s appearance in anything Moon Knight related. It was a mere happy coincidence that Dafoe, Hawke, and Isaac were able to get this photo together.

You can now watch all six episodes of Moon Knight, streaming exclusively on Disney+. Poor Things is a film set to release later this year, staring Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Emma Stone, and more! The film is based on a novel by the same name, written by Alasdair Gray in 1992.
