Daveed Diggs and Melissa McCarthy are also receiving praise for their roles as Sebastian and Ursula. Diggs’ performance is described as “hilarious” and “one of the best parts of the film.” As for McCarthy, people are saying her character is a “scene stealer.”

The Little Mermaid (1989) is a classic, perhaps one of Disney’s strongest animated movies. It’s understandable after their other remakes, fans are skeptic whether this remake will live up to standards.
