With X-Men ’97 and Daredevil: Born Again confirmed to release, Marvel Studios has proven they aren’t afraid to revisit past hits. However, there are still a plethora of shows like Spider-Man: The Animated Series and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that fans would love to see return to their screens.
In an exclusive interview with Agents of Fandom, Marvel Studios Head of Television, Animation, and Streaming Brad Winderbaum discussed a potential revival of other fan-favorite series in addition to X-Men ’97.

“We’re doing that right now. We’re in production on Daredevil: Born Again in New York, they’re shooting as we speak — I’m seeing text messages come up from set. That’s probably the next show that is going to kind of revisit and revive a really strong, and one of my favorite pockets of our universe and our fandom. And… you never know, is the answer!”

Although it’s far from confirmed, the possibility of characters like Daisy Johnson/Quake (Chloe Bennet), Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), and potentially even an animated ’90s Spider-Man returning to screens remains intact.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered in 2013 and ran concurrently to the MCU for at least the first season, evidenced by a real-time crossover with Captain America: The Winter Soldier that had lasting stakes for the series. While it eventually diverged farther from what Marvel Studios now calls its “sacred timeline,” fans have long debated (sometimes rather heatedly) Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s place in MCU canon.
Things heated up when Marvel started to play around with the multiverse in Phase 4, even bringing back Netflix Daredevil actor Charlie Cox to reprise his role as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
It remains to be seen which characters Marvel Studios might decide to use for their future projects. However, fans of past projects like Spider-Man: The Animated Series and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans can hold out hope their favorite show has a chance to see the light of day once again — or at least be confirmed as canon to the MCU.
