The massive success of the ‘Game of Thrones’ franchise has spawned yet another intriguing spin-off.

HBO announced a plethora of upcoming projects during the Warner Brothers presentation, where they also officially confirmed the launch of new streaming platform Max, coming May 23. One of the most exciting announcements to come out of the presentation is the Game of Thrones spin-off show: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. The news follows the major success of House of the Dragon, the first of the Game of Thrones spin-offs.

What to expect from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is based on George R. R. Martin’s book series, Dunk and Egg, which takes place approximately 100 years before the events in Game of Thrones. The story follows Ser Duncan the Tall, also known as “Dunk,” and his squire, Egg. George R.R. Martin is one of the writers, as well as Ira Parker, who has a writing credit on the first season of House of the Dragon.
