What to expect in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releases May 5, and sparking hype is the key to filling theatres—especially for a franchise that is loved by so many.
The official plot synopsis from Marvel.com states:
“Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully [by the team], could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”Marvel.com
The third instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise brings back the original cast, with Chris Pratt returning as Peter Quill/Star Lord, Zoë Saldaña as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, with Bradley Cooper voicing Rocket, and Vin Diesel voicing Groot. The High Evolutionary is said to be the main villain of this story.
There are also some new additions including, We’re the Miller‘s Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Bodies Bodies Bodies‘s Maria Bakalova voicing Cosmo the Spacedog, Chukwudi Iwuji as The High Evolutionary, and Daniela Melchior in an unknown role.
Melchior and Iwuji both worked with James Gunn on The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, respectfully, in the DC Universe. Gunn also confirmed that at least three more actors that are in the DC Universe will make an appearance. Many fans predict one might be Margot Robbie.
