Charlie Cox Teases a Surprise New Project After ‘Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’ [Exclusive]

How do you follow up being in the Game of the Year?

It’s finally March, and you know what that means — Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is almost here! Agents of Fandom Editor in Chief, TJ Zwarych, got to sit down with the stars of the series, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, ahead of the Season 2 premiere coming to Disney+ on March 24. It’s been a big past couple of years for the Marvel stars, experiencing success across a variety of media.

When Cox wasn’t making fans laugh from his performance in last year’s FX comedy Adults, or being the Man Without Fear, Matt Murdock, in Daredevil: Born Again, he lent his voice as Gustave in the video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The role-playing game was released across all platforms in April of 2025 and received universal critical acclaim, including nine awards, including Game of the Year, at the Game Awards.

With Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also topping nearly every major publication’s end-of-year lists, many fans are wondering when Cox will return to this medium. Luckily, Cox gave some insight into what that might be in his interview with us.

“I loved being a part of Expedition 33. I was blown away by the success it’s had and how far-reaching that game has been. It has seemingly opened a new avenue for my professional work. I’m gonna do another game this year, which is going to be much more involved for me, much more work. It’s something I haven’t known much about; I honestly didn’t realize quite how passionate the fans were. There are as passionate as the Marvel fans are, so that’s been really cool.”

As to what this game could be? The possibilities are endless. Many fans are hoping to see Cox reprise his role as the vigilante Daredevil in the video game medium. Marvel-based video games have been a hit with games like Marvel Rivals, as well as Insomniac’s Spider-Man games and upcoming Wolverine game due out this year, but there would be nothing like a gritty, street-level game where you must defend Hell’s Kitchen at any cost.

Whether or not it’s Daredevil-related or something completely new, it’s an incredibly exciting prospect that Cox is interested in continuing work in the video game medium. His voice work as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is top-tier, and we can’t wait to see what is next for him.
