The first on the list of PlayStation Plus free games, Grid Legends is fairly new, with a release date of February 5, 2022. It is developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts and is the fifth installment in the Grid franchise. There are more than 130 tracks to race on, as well as 100 powerful vehicles the player is able to choose from.

For the first time ever, Grid allows the user to create their own races, which include obstacles, custom routes and so much more. The story-focused career mode, Driven to Glory, is inspired by the Netflix docu-series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. Driven to Glory utilizes Extended Reality (xR) technology by using live action actors in cut scenes, instead of animated characters. Similar technology is used on The Mandalorian.

Grid Legends will be available on both PS4 and PS5 consoles, with a cross-platform multiplayer mode for up to 22 players! Let your mates know, and get those engines ready!

The game can be played in either first or third-person, and the player can decide if they want to be on foot or on horseback.

The game features 30 different types of melee weapons, ranging from war hammers to battle-axes. Your character is a medieval warrior on a huge battlefield that features a total of 64 players. The phrase “Every man for himself” fits perfectly for this scenario. Things become bloody with all the hacking, slashing and scattered limbs across the battlefield. It’s safe to say that this one should be kept as far away from the kids as possible!

Anybody who loves games such as Ryse: Son of Rome, will enjoy this one. The medieval feeling is always a crowd-pleaser. Chivalry 2 will be available on both PS4 and PS5 consoles. The PS5 version runs in 4K at 60fps.
