The game released to mixed reactions with most gamers citing severe technical issues, however, there have been recent updates and tweaks that could give this game the second chance it deserves. The voice cast for the game comprises Josh Duhamel (Transformers), Karen Fukuhara (The Boys) and Sam Witwer (Star Wars: Clone Wars & Rebels).

The first of the PlayStation Plus October 2023 free games, The Callisto Protocol will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
