Are you worried you got too swept away in the magic to embrace each of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos? Don’t fear! Agents of Fandom are here to run through each one for you.
The galaxy’s favorite a-holes are back in the final home-run installment. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has hit theaters and bids farewell to the joyous group of outlaws. The film is so characteristically James Gunn and serves as an ode to his extensive journey with Marvel coming to a close (ahead of his takeover at DC Studios).
The film confirms our expectations that we’re in for a story centered around the beloved Rocket the Raccoon. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the gang set out on an excursion to save their friend’s life in the most dangerous mission to date. It’s easy to be enraptured in the new foes such as Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) that you might miss the cameos.
Keep reading for a look at the familiar faces and be warned, spoilers lay ahead for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to bookmark this to come back to when you’re fresh out of the theater!
*Warning: Spoilers ahead for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.*
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #1: Jennifer Holland as Administrator Kwol
The Guardians are united with post-Endgame Gamora, and are on a mission to break into Orgoscope. Inside Orgoscope’s files are the key to deactivating the kill switch that is hidden within Rocket’s body. Administrator Kwol is working at the security desk monitoring the gang’s heist.
Interestingly, Jennifer Holland and James Gunn have been married since 2022. Her previous work spans much of the DCEU including The Suicide Squad, and its additional follow-up project Peacemaker, with a small role in Black Adam.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #2: Nathan Fillion as Master Karja
Similar to Administrator Kwol, Nathan Fillion portrays a small role in the film, but it’s not Fillion’s first appearance in the Guardians universe. He can previously be spotted as Kyln in Guardians of the Galaxy, and again in a deleted scene for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Master Karja is a security guard at Orgoscope who is charmingly witty, and soon catches onto the suspect nature of their plans. Nathan Fillion is also well-known for his role in The Suicide Squad, as well as Saving Private Ryan and Cars 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #3: Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord
Sylvester Stallone appears briefly in Vol. 2 as Stakar Ogord, a Ravager who returns in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. He only has two brief appearances and is working alongside Gamora, who is now divided from the Guardians and part of the Ravager team (against Peter Quill’s strong sense of disapproval).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #4: Seth Green as Howard the Duck
Howard the Duck is back as one of the awesome Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos!
The returning character can be seen playing cards alongside Kraglin (Sean Gunn) and a group of individuals on Knowhere when Quill contacts Kraglin for backup. Seth Green makes a reappearance as the voice of Howard the Duck. You can spot him in both Guardians films, Avengers: Endgame and the Disney+ series, What If…?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #5: Daniela Melchior as Ura the Orgoscope Employee
One more DC chum in the line-up! Daniela Melchior also heads over from The Suicide Squad, where she plays the wonderful Ratcatcher 2. Here in the Guardians franchise, we can spot her as an Orgoscope worker named Ura. She has a charming back-and-forth with Peter Quill, who seemingly wants her to find him irresistible.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #6: Christopher Fairbank as the Broker
Christopher Fairbank joins the crew once again for his second appearance in the franchise. His previous appearance is in Guardians of the Galaxy, where he plays the Broker on Xandar, bargaining for the orb from Peter Quill. You can spot him here at the poker table along with Howard the Duck.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos #7: Michael Rooker as Yondu
What. A. Moment.
After Yondu faces a sad fate in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he makes a small (but achingly stunning) appearance in the final battle against the High Evolutionary. He appears as a vision to Kraglin in a moment of weakness. He guides him on wielding the whistle after Kraglin’s long struggle throughout the film. This makes Michael Rooker’s trilogy appearance a hat-trick.
